​You’ve probably stumbled upon a series of illustrations by Alex Merry on Gucci’s Instagram page. If you haven’t, the series depicts designs of the famous Italian fashion house’s new line of home decor. The brand-new Gucci Decor line will be launched this September in select Gucci stores around the world, and online. Alessandro Michele has been the creative leadership behind Gucci’s latest and greatest creations. The Italian fashion house said in their press release that the new line would “epitomise Michele’s imaginative notion that if you make pieces easily moveable, you can constantly dress and re-dress your environment.” One of Merry’s illustraions teases a whimsical hand-crafted and designed chair with a beautiful red lacquered finish. On the seat there are embroidered designs of a cat head and flowers. It reportedly took over 10 hours to complete according to Gucci’s Instagram. Expect scented candles and incense burners, with hand embellished motifs inspired by the Gucci aesthetic. Though it has yet to be confirmed in image, Gucci has also hinted at other releases such as metal trays, wallpaper, and folding tables. This home decor line is sure to be a hit with those who enjoy a little extravaganza.
