As the 2026 Met Gala embraced the theme “Fashion Is Art,” jewellery moved beyond a finishing touch to take centre stage. From high-carat statements to sculptural, unexpected styling, the red carpet redefined how jewellery shapes a look. Here are the standout jewellery moments of the night

Beyoncé in Chopard

Co-chair Beyoncé anchored the night in a Chopard necklace from the Garden of Kalahari collection, centred on a 6.41-carat diamond and surrounded by 140 carats of stones. Paired with Precious Lace earrings, the look drew from the Kalahari Desert’s natural diamond origins.

Another co-chair, Venus Williams, balanced sport and glamour in a custom Swarovski necklace inspired by Wimbledon plates. Worn with a black mesh crystal gown, the look felt cohesive, with jewellery and dress working as a single, reflective surface.

Isha Ambani in Lorraine Schwartz

As the daughter of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, Isha Ambani delivered one of the night’s most opulent moments. A 50-carat emerald choker by Lorraine Schwartz – once worn by Angelina Jolie – was layered with over 1,800 carats of diamonds, including a 150-carat heirloom necklace borrowed from her mother, Nita Mukesh Ambani.

Lisa in Bulgari

Marking her second appearance, Lisa arrived in a Bulgari necklace centred on a rare 50-carat cabochon sapphire, framed by brilliant-cut diamonds. Matching bracelets and rings completed the look, though the deep blue stone remained the undeniable focal point.

Rosé in Tiffany & Co.

Meanwhile, Rosé opted for precision over excess, wearing Tiffany & Co.’s Palm necklace from the Blue Book 2026: Hidden Garden collection, inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s sketches of palm trees in motion. Styled with a Saint Laurent gown by Anthony Vaccarello, the look felt clean and controlled.

Sabrina Carpenter in Chopard

Sabrina Carpenter reworked Chopard’s diamonds into something unexpected, looping two necklaces – totalling over 100 carats – around her fingers so they trailed behind her gown. A diamond crown, also by Chopard, completed the look, reinforcing its playful, directional take on high jewellery.

Anne Hathaway in Bulgari

Fresh off the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2, Anne Hathaway wore a Michael Kors Collection gown with Bulgari’s Magnifica diamond spike necklace. Mismatched earrings – a gold spike and a diamond stud – added intentional asymmetry to the structured look.

Emily Blunt in Mikimoto Akoya

On the other hand, Emily Blunt, co-star of The Devil Wears Prada 2, stood out as the only guest in pearls. Her custom Mikimoto Akoya pearl body chain, paired with matching earrings and a ring, offered a subtle contrast to the diamond-heavy red carpet.

Amanda Seyfried in Tiffany & Co.

Amanda Seyfried shifted the tone with colour, pairing a pink Prada gown with Tiffany & Co. jewellery set with blue zircons, emeralds and diamonds. The mix of stones added depth without overwhelming the clean lines of the look.

Irina Shayk in Alexander Wang

Closing the list, Irina Shayk took a jewellery-first approach in a bold Alexander Wang look constructed from vintage pieces. The standout was a custom jewellery bra formed from diamond and rare-stone necklaces, tennis bracelets and watches.
