Regent Hong Kong has some surprises for lovers looking to experience The Journey of Love this Valentine’s Day

For Valentine’s Day this year, Regent Hong Kong has a romantic afternoon tea experience. Aptly called The Journey of Love, it runs from February 9 to 15, 2026.

The experience melds mouthwatering gastronomy with handcrafted art. The art comes in the form of The Blooming Swans, an afternoon tea stand by Hong Kong copper artists Coxper. It is made in collaboration with Regent Hong Kong’s executive pastry chef Andy Yeung and sous chef Chase Tse.

The sculptural masterpiece draws from two distinct inspirations. The first is the lifelong pairing of swans. The second being flowers that need to be nurtured to bloom, much like a relationship. We see copper arcs that rise like swan necks, lifting three tiers that embody the stages of love: the Bud (Anticipation), the Bloom (Growth), and the Full Flower (Fulfilment). It comes to life when framed by the The Lobby Lounge’s stunning views of Victoria Harbour.

Real-life couple Nathan Wong and Hazel Lee, the duo behind Coxper, took inspiration from their own love story. They used the rose, amber and gold tones to highlight the metal and create a warm, inviting glow. Every curve, texture, and detail of the vessel reflect their own journey as a pair.

Of course, The Journey of Love is more than just about admiring the artistry. Pastry chef Andy Yeung has contributed his own form of art in the pastries. These are bloom themed and reflect the aforementioned three stages of love.

One can expect marvellous creations like the Vanilla Flower, a molten caramel heart wrapped in a cocoon of vanilla mousse and tender madeleine sponge; the Hiniko Rose, a rose infused mousse, hazelnut ladyfinger and raspberry compote with a hazelnut sablé base, and the Hibiscus Pear, poached pear within hibiscus infused agar, crowned with pear Chantilly cream.

Priced at HK$788 for a guest or HK$1,388 for a pair. The afternoon tea even comes with a glass of champagne for each guest. Tap here to book your own Journey of Love.
