“To start, I live in the New Territories so going out to Hong Kong Island has always been a bit of a trek. Most of my time is spent in Kowloon, as it’s the perfect meeting ground halfway for me and my friends. My favourite area would be Yau-Tsim-Mong – which stands for Yau Ma Tei, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok. You can start your day in Mong Kok and make your way down to Tsim Sha Tsui walking down one street, and it’s always nice to finish the day with a view of the skyline. In Mong Kok, I love to go to Sino Centre to check out any new gacha collections – I’m a big fan of Hello Kitty so it’s nice to see what cute things have come out. Walking down to Yau Ma Tei, a must-visit for me is the Yau Ma Tei Wholesale Fruits Market. Sometimes if I end my day there, I’ll pick up some fruits to bring back home. But if I have a bit more time, I’ll make my way to Tai On Coffee & Tea Shop for a tea-time snack or coffee. They have a French toast series inspired by different Hong Kong flavours. I love the traditional black sesame dessert soup, and their black sesame French toast is the perfect combination of old and new for me. Lastly, Tsim Sha Tsui, which is super touristy and packed most of the time, but you can find your own rhythm in different pockets. I love to grab cookies from Conte de Cookie whenever I’m going off for a business trip as souvenirs or just as little treats for home. They specialise in flavoured shortbread cookies and palmiers. Their coffee macadamia cookie has the perfect crunch and coffee aroma that I’m looking for when it comes to coffee-flavoured foods. I love their sea-salt chocolate cookie too.”

“For its 20th anniversary, Caprice at the Four Seasons Hotel is celebrating with a series of special dinners from September 18–20, featuring a lineup of 16 guest chefs with a cumulative total of 23 Michelin stars. That’s something I’ll be checking out, and I’m drooling just thinking about it! I always live for a GNO, and any kind of excuse to dress up. So I’m super excited for my girlfriend Cocoa (also my favourite DJ in Hong Kong and not just saying this because she’s my friend) who is launching He.r 鶴 at the end of the month at Mott 32. She hosted a preview at the beginning of summer, and it was such an amazing night. I can’t wait for all of Hong Kong to experience it for themselves.”

“This month, the The Diary of a CEO host Steven Bartlett will be touring Asia for the first time ever, sharing his pearls of entrepreneurial wisdom and insights. His Hong Kong leg is on the 23rd so I’m looking forward to that. I’ll also be checking out ZS Hospitality’s latest multi- concept dining venue called Solstice. Inside, there are three unique dining experiences: Sol Restaurant, which blends Korean with Western culinary techniques; Uncle Quek by Barry Quek of Whey, a casual eatery that reimagines Southeast Asian comfort food with Michelin- star finesse; and Solstice Cooking Studio.”
