Regent Hong Kong has been sweeping up awards galore. David Ho looks at what accolades the hotel has picked up recently

Since reopening in November 2023, Regent Hong Kong has been making its mark as a luxury destination for those visiting the fragrant harbour.
With its waterfront location offering stunning views of Victoria Harbour, visitors have been flocking to and loving their stays at the Regent Hong Kong. This satisfaction was most evident at the 30th Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, where the Tsim Sha Tsui-located hotel picked up a prestigious title.
At the event, Regent Hong Kong was named ‘#1 City Hotel in Asia’ – topping the list in the 2025 edition of the Travel + Leisure World Best Awards readers’ survey. That’s not all. The hotel was also named the ‘#1 City Hotel in Hong Kong’ for a second consecutive year at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2025.
Besides those impressive accolades, it was voted #14 among the 100 best hotels in the world by Travel + Leisure readers, proving that Regent Hong Kong’s standards are truly world class.

“I am honoured to accept this coveted recognition on behalf of our extraordinary team who are the heart and soul of Regent Hong Kong’s achievement as the ‘World’s Best” in Travel + Leisure’s annual readers’ survey. It is a privilege for Regent Hong Kong to be the leader of excellence and innovation in luxury hospitality in Asia and our city,” says Michel Chertouh, the managing director of Regent Hong Kong.
“Following our hotel’s stunning transformation and return to Victoria Harbour in the past two years, we are delighted to create such lasting impressions for our guests and the discerning global travel community. In addition to our spectacular location on the edge of Victoria Harbour with cinematic views of the city skyline, what sets up apart is the carefully crafted ambience of discreet luxury, melding thoughtful design, artistry and sophistication with gracious, highly intuitive service. This is punctuated by curated moments and exquisite dining experiences that create unforgettable memories for our guests.”
The glamorous harbourfront landmark has been reimagined by the visionary Chi Wing Lo, with 497 rooms that exude quiet luxury. Those looking for the ultimate luxury will do well to check the Regent Hong Kong’s Signature Suites (CEO Suite, Terrace Suite and Presidential Suite). These private residential retreats come with exclusive rooftop terraces, outdoor whirlpools and intimate spaces for relaxation, reflection and connection – all with panoramic views of Hong Kong’s iconic city skyline.

Regent Hong Kong also houses excellent dining destinations. Guests can select from the two Michelin star Lai Ching Heen for Cantonese cuisine; the Michelin recommended The Steak House; the famous Nobu Hong Kong; and Harbourside, known for its international buffets.
Meanwhile, their Lobby Lounge is the perfect spot for either a grand afternoon tea or evening cocktails. Speaking of cocktails, Qura Bar promises a special experience with its rare spirits and harbour views.

Seated at the stretch between K11 Musea and Harbour City mall, the hotel’s convenient location by the Avenue of Stars means it is within easy reach of all of Hong Kong’s major shopping districts.
Culture is also within a stone’s throw away. The Hong Kong Cultural Centre and HK Museum of Art are just a short walk away, while The West Kowloon Cultural District that contains M+ Museum and Hong Kong Palace Museum is also not too far off. If you are in town for a big name concert, the Kai Tak Sports Park is also a quick MTR train ride away.
If you haven’t yet, come experience Regent Hong Kong’s world class luxury for yourself to see why it has been the choice for so many.
