Summer is just around the corner, and there are numerous shows to anticipate this July. From Black Bird to Amber Brown, here are six shows to binge on Apple TV+ this season

Home – Season 2

Discovering the groundbreaking ideas and inspiring stories behind the world’s most imaginative dwellings, the show Home will return for a second season on June 17. In this globe-spanning docuseries, visionaries question the conventional concept of “home” and rethink how we live.

The show’s second season will feature new destinations and offers viewers unprecedented access to the world’s most innovative living spaces. Each episode will unveil the boundary-pushing imagination of the visionaries who dared to dream and build them worldwide. It covers the Netherlands, South Africa, Indonesia, Australia, Mexico, Iceland, and more.

Loot

A new workplace comedy series, Loot follows an uber-wealthy socialite who gets down from her high horse and tries to save the world. Starring and executive produced by Emmy Award winner, Maya Rudolph, the 10-episode comedy will debut globally with the first three episodes airing on Friday, June 24 on Apple TV+.

Billionaire Molly Novak has a dream life, complete with private jets and a giga yacht. But when her husband of 20 years betrays her, she spirals publicly, becoming fuel for tabloid fodder. Want to check how she embarks on a journey of self-discovery? Mark your calendar down for its premier.

Black Bird

Thriller shows are the best accompaniment this summer. Adapted from the true-crime memoir “In with the Devil”, the show depicts a high school football hero and decorated policeman’s son, Jimmy Keene, portrayed by Taron Egerton.

Keene is sentenced to ten years in a minimum-security prison with no possibility of parole or he can choose to enter a maximum-security prison for the criminally insane with a chance of parole. The show premieres on July 8.

Trying – Season 3

This heartwarming comedy about a couple desperately trying to enter parenthood is coming back with season 3. Starring Esther Smith and Rafe Spall, Nikki and Jason (respectively) wake up as new parents to two children. Now they have to keep a hold on them, which proves to be trickier than they initially thought. 

Premieres on July 22, the show depicts the struggles of infertility and trying to adapt to family life.

Amber Brown

This child-friendly option is based on the bestselling book series by Paula Danziger, Amber Brown is an unfiltered look at a girl finding her voice through art and music in the wake of her parent’s divorce.

Directed and written by Bonnie Hunt, the series stars Carsyn Rose and Sarah Drew, with an ensemble cast including Darin Brooks. It premieres on July 29.

This psychological thriller will premiere globally, with the first three episodes on Friday, July 29, on Apple TV+. Set in San Francisco and produced by Veronica West, the show follows a woman who has suffered a traumatic head injury that has left her with extreme memory loss.

To put the pieces of her life back together with the help of her husband and friends, she begins to question whether or not the truth she is told is, in fact, reality. Mark the date down to explore this story of self-discovery that contemplates if we are pre-programmed to become who we are or if we choose our own identity.
