Time just marches on and here we are in March and mask-free! Here are five selections to watch on Apple TV+ this month

Ted Lasso

Expect more episodes of the third season to drop weekly starting March 15. The series starring and developed by Jason Sudeikis sees him as the titular character, an American college football coach hired to coach a soccer team. Hired by the team owner’s ex-wife as a means of revenge, Lasso wins the heart of her and the team.

The show’s first season was nominated for 20 Primetime Emmy Awards, becoming the most nominated first-season comedy in Emmy Award history. Sadly, the new season is set to be the last.

Extrapolations

Created by Scott Z. Burns for Apple TV+, the series depicts the effects of climate change on the planet through different points of view and interconnected stories.

It features a star-studded cast including Meryl Streep, Sienna Miller, Kit Harington, Edward Norton, David Schwimmer, Marion Cotillard, and many more. This could be a hit show in the making.

My Kind of Country

If country music is your thing, this would be an interesting watch. The first season of My Kind of Country sees Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgraves join Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton, and Orville Peck on a global search for country music’s next big star.

Filmed in Nashville, the winner will receive “a life-changing prize from Apple Music, receiving unprecedented support and exposure on the platform”. We just might see the next Carrie Underwood emerge from this if all goes well.

The Big Door Prize

Based on an M.O. Walsh novel of the same name, the comedy series is about the sudden emergence of a mysterious clairvoyance machine at a grocery store that can predict the destinies of those that come into contact with it. This leads to drastic life changes for the small fictional community of Deerfield.

Starring Chris O’Dowd, Gabrielle Dennis, and Damon Gupton, new episodes will drop weekly. Expect the first three episodes at the series premiere on March 29, with the first season concluding on May 10.

Tetris

We know Tetris as one of the most popular puzzle games of all time, found on everything from our Game Boys to random electronics. Taron Egerton stars as Henk Rogers, the Dutch game publisher and his battles for the rights to the game from the Soviet Union.

Said to be similar in tone to The Social Network, it gives a glimpse into the people and the struggles behind some cultural mainstays.
