Marvel Studios is bringing the superhero movie Thor: Love and Thunder from the big screen to home on September 8. The film dives into Thor’s story after the events of Endgame, where the god of thunder embarks on a journey to find inner peace. Yet, it is interrupted by Gorr, the God Butcher, which brings more tension to the storyline.

Director Taika Waititi gets praised for the sense of humour and the chemistry portrayed between Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster.

Pinocchio

Among all celebratory releases on September 8, Pinocchio undoubtedly takes the win for most anticipated premiere. Remade from the 1940 animated version, Walt Disney brings the young boy puppet to a live-action adaption. The musical fantasy film explores the story of a wooden puppet Pinocchio, carved by an Italian toymaker and brought to life by the Blue Fairy, who strived to be a real boy while going on wondrous adventures.

Tom Hanks plays the role of Geppetto, who created and raised Pinocchio as if he were his natural son, while Benjamin Evan Ainsworth voices Pinocchio. Other cast members include Cynthia Erivo, Luke Evans, Giuseppe Battiston and Lewin Lloyd.

What makes the sequel even better is that the three original actresses, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, reprise their roles as Winifred Sanderson, Sarah Sanderson, and Mary Sanderson, respectively. Doug Jones is also returning to the franchise as Billy Butcherson, the love interest of Winifred.
