Watches and Wonders 2025: Tudor goes big and deep
Apr 15, 2025
This year, Tudor went big with its offerings and brought out an all-new Black Bay in 43mm featuring Master Chronometer certification and a Pelagos that’s depth rated to 1,000 metres. David Ho reports

This year, Tudor gives us an entirely new Black Bay model in 43mm, meeting the demand for various case sizes to fit all types of wrists. The new case size comes in two new colour configurations. Size matters but that’s not all, the Black Bay 68 is Master Chronometer certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) too! So that means its performance is big too, as it meets one of the horology industry's most demanding standards in terms of chronometry and resistance to magnetic fields.

Next, the most technically capable dive watch has been unveiled in the form of the Tudor Pelagos Ultra. It can manage 1,000 meters of water-resistance in a 43mm case. So get ready for a deep sea adventure with the biggest Pelagos to date. It comes with the beloved T-fit folding clasp, complete with a luminous indicator on the clasp so you can check out your setting at great depths. It contains the same type of diver’s extension system as the original Pelagos models.
But that’s not all—there’s also a Black Bay 58 all with a burgundy dial and bezel. Tudor’s Black Bay 58 is named after the year that the Swiss watchmaker’s first divers’ watch that is waterproof to 200 metres was introduced.
The Black Bay 58 models retain aesthetic traits of that famous historic watch, such as a 39mm diameter case that is line with the characteristic proportions of the 1950s. Usually, they are also paired with warm hues of burgundy, black, and gilt on the bezel. But in 2025, Tudor has introduced the Black Bay 58 with a burgundy dial and bezel.
Other highlights from Tudor at the event in Geneva include a Black Bay Pro with enhanced visual touches and the Black Bay Chrono model in steel with a five-link bracelet.
