XPENG Thailand, the importer and distributor of premium high-tech electric vehicles under Millennium Group Corporation (Asia) Public Company Limited (MGC-ASIA), in collaboration with XPENG Motors of China, recently hosted the visionary event ‘XPENG VISION NIGHT THAILAND’, showcasing the company’s latest technological innovations and future development direction under the theme ‘The Era of Physical AI’.
At the heart of the showcase was the XPENG Turing AI Chip, a processing unit designed specifically for AI-powered vehicle systems. Acting as the ‘brain’ of XPENG’s intelligent driving platform, the chip features a 40-core processor capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously—akin to 40 experts analysing and processing data in unison. It supports up to 30 billion variables for AI learning and decision-making and delivers a staggering 750 TOPS of computing power, equivalent to 750 trillion operations per second. This allows vehicles to perceive and respond to complex environments with precision and speed, even under challenging lighting conditions such as glare, low light, or intense sunlight, enhancing accuracy, clarity, and range for detection.
The event also unveiled the new XPENG X9, an ultra-intelligent, 7-seater electric MPV that combines sporty agility with advanced AI capabilities. The vehicle features both exterior and interior upgrades, including enhanced luxury elements typically found in high-end cars, and incorporates the Turing AI Chip, tripling the AI computing power. Its Starship-inspired futuristic coupe-style front bumper remains, while the interior now includes redesigned door panels with premium speaker coverings and Ayous wood finishes, elevating the overall aesthetic.
Beyond vehicles, the showcase highlighted XPENG’s cutting-edge innovations under the ‘Era of Physical AI’ concept, including the Turing AI Chip, the latest intelligent electric vehicles, and state-of-the-art inventions such as the humanoid robot IRON and a flying car prototype.
Visitors can experience the new XPENG X9, the New G6, and other advanced innovations at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, taking place from 25 March to 5 April 2026 at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre, Muang Thong Thani, as well as at XPENG showrooms nationwide.
