At a time when the world seems to move faster than the human heart can follow, “learning” no longer refers solely to the acquisition of new skills or knowledge. Rather, it speaks to the ability to return to oneself, to listen inwardly amidst the noise and complexity of the external world. This is the very premise upon which The Present Haus has been conceived, a new initiative thoughtfully introduced to Thai society by Thaicom Foundation.

The Foundation has officially launched The Present Haus, a Mindful Living & Learning Space situated on Ratchawithi Road, guided by its long-standing philosophy: “Awaken, Think, Act, Ready to Be a Global Citizen.” For more than three decades, Thaicom Foundation has championed lifelong learning as a cornerstone of sustainable human and social development. This new space reflects that enduring commitment, translating vision into a tangible environment designed for inner growth.

Ms Pintongta Shinawatra Kunakornwong, Director and Secretary of Thaicom Foundation, shared that while today’s world offers boundless opportunities and an endless stream of information, spaces for stillness, for listening inwardly and questioning one’s purpose, have become increasingly rare. Learning from within, cultivating awareness of one’s emotions, and reflecting upon personal meaning are essential life skills that must not be overlooked. From this belief emerges the essence of The Present Haus, aligned with the Foundation’s three balanced dimensions of wellbeing: Heart, Health and Head. The new initiative places particular emphasis on Heart, nurturing inner resilience as the foundation for meaningful and sustainable growth.

Architecturally and conceptually, the building has been designed to accommodate a diverse range of activities. The Workshop Area can host up to three concurrent sessions, welcoming both foundation-led programmes and external individuals or organisations seeking to curate workshops focused on personal and emotional development.

The Exhibition Zone has been conceived as a contemplative realm, comprising a permanent exhibition centred on inner awareness, open year-round, alongside rotating exhibitions presented every three to six months. Together, they invite visitors to explore their inner landscapes through art, ideas and contemporary experiential narratives. Adjacent to this, The Present Haus Café is envisioned as more than a coffee bar; it is a sensory sanctuary. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, the warmth of a cup held gently in hand, hushed conversations, and unhurried glances at the world beyond, each element serves as a subtle reminder to return to the present moment with intention.

The space further includes a Co-Working Area for those seeking a tranquil working environment, as well as a thoughtfully designed Playground that introduces mindful learning to children from an early age. Among the inaugural highlights are “Present Moment”, a restorative workshop addressing emotional fatigue, and “Mindful Family”, a programme fostering deeper communication and empathetic connection within families.

The Present Haus will officially open its doors on 20 March 2026. All proceeds, after expenses, from the café, space reservations, workshops and foundation merchandise will be reinvested into the Foundation’s social initiatives. In essence, The Present Haus stands not merely as a venue, but as an invitation, to pause, to reconnect, and to cultivate the inner strength required to navigate an increasingly complex world with clarity and purpose.
