“…When it comes to the new wave of Thai entertainment in 2025, names that influence not only the world of music and series, but also fashion — one cannot overlook the four rising stars from the hit series GELBOYS, including New Chayapak Tunprayoon, Pide Monthapoom Sumonvarangkul, PJ Mahidol Phibunsongkhram, and Leon Brocco. #legend_th had the chance to sit down with the boys during their November Digital Cover shoot to talk about their journey so far, and where they’re headed next…”

#legend_th: GELBOYS has received an overwhelming response. How do you feel about this success? Did you ever expect it to blow up this much?
Pide: Honestly, we were already super excited when we saw how much everyone loved the show. We’ve all been working on it for a long time, along with the whole production team. It’s truly an honor and a joy to be part of this project.
New: Of course, we all hoped it would be successful — everyone on and off screen, including our director Boss Guno, put their hearts into it. But we didn’t know what that success would look like. Now that it’s come in the form of people appreciating the series, recreating our looks, and even forming a “GELBOYS culture,” I feel proud that our work has reached people the way we hoped.
PJ: This was actually the first series produced by our label, so it feels amazing that it’s been such a success. Seeing people follow the story, gaining fans who support all four of us — it’s something we’re really grateful for. I was even shocked when we found out there’s going to be a second season. Thank you so much to everyone who’s been watching and supporting us.
Leon: For me, this was my very first project in the industry, so I didn’t really know what to expect. But once I read the script and saw the vision behind GELBOYS, I started hoping people would want to dress like us, styling their hair or nails like us. And now that it’s actually happening, I think we can say we’ve made it. I’m really happy about that.

#legend_th: Throughout your time working together, was there any particular moment that made you realize the strength of your teamwork?
Pide: I always tell the guys — we’re a group that really helps each other. We don’t compete, we lift each other up. If someone messes up, we’ve got their back. Each of us has clear goals, and we all work together to make them happen.
New: I totally agree with Pide. Like he said, we don’t compete — we actually take turns and encourage each other to shine. The vibe on set is always relaxed and supportive. I like to call us “comrades-in-arms” because we’ve been through everything together. Filming GELTY also helped us see more sides of each other — our strengths, flaws and learn to embrace them even more.
PJ: Same here. We’ve supported each other since filming the series, whether it’s helping with emotional scenes or stepping in when someone’s tired. Even in GELTY, we still look out for each other. Whenever someone’s struggling, there’s always someone ready to help. That kind of atmosphere means a lot.
Leon: Like the others said, GELBOYS really represents unity and non-competition. I think that’s because deep down, we all feel like GELBOYS wouldn’t be the same if even one of us were missing. That’s why our bond is so strong.
#legend_th: If you had the chance to star in another project together, what kind of series would you want it to be?
New: I’d want to do something completely opposite, like a rivalry drama where we don’t get along at all. I think seeing us argue or clash would be a fun twist since GELBOYS is all about sweetness and charm.
Pide: I’d love to try an action project, film or series, doesn’t matter. Something physical and high-energy sounds really fun.
PJ: I’m kind of on the same page as New. I’d love to try a heavy drama, something intense and emotional like “The Paradise of Thorns.” I’m really craving that kind of acting challenge.
Leon: I want to do a full-on comedy. But our real lives are already a comedy, honestly.
New: Yeah, we’re totally chaotic when we’re together.
Leon: They could literally just follow us around with a camera, that’s already a show.

#legend_th: If you could pick one thing you’re most into right now — whether it’s a song, series, food, or activity — what would it be, and why?
New: Sleep and rest. That’s my current obsession. I’m really into doing absolutely nothing, like eating in bed, watching a series with the AC on full blast. It’s such a simple pleasure, like breaking a small rule just for yourself.
Pide: Same here. I’m in my Sloth Lifestyle era, slowing down, taking it easy. Just lying down, staring at the ceiling, napping, waking up, scrolling my phone, and napping again. It’s healthy in its own way. Once I’m rested, I feel ready to work.
PJ: I’ve been really into watches lately. I check out new models every day — can’t stop scrolling!
Leon: For me, surprisingly it’s novels. I’ve never been into novel books in my 20 years, but now I’m obsessed. I was literally reading before this shoot and caught myself wondering what I’ll do once I finish this one because it’s so good. I’m scared I won’t find another story like it again.
