CHANEL unveils “la Galerie du 19M Tokyo” on the 52nd floor of Mori Tower in the heart of Tokyo, bringing the creative spirit of le19M from Paris to Japan and inviting visitors to experience the intricate world of art and fashion up close.
Founded by CHANEL in 2021, le19M serves as a contemporary hub that unites over 700 artisans and experts dedicated to preserving and passing on the craftsmanship and artistic heritage of the House. The Tokyo exhibition unfolds through three captivating chapters:
- le Festival – Showcasing the exceptional savoir-faire of CHANEL’s finest craft studios.
- Beyond Our Horizons – An immersive art exhibition born from the collaboration of over 30 artisans and artists from Japan and France.
- Lesage. 100 Years of Fashion and Decoration – Celebrating a century of mastery in embroidery and tweed by the Maison Lesage.
The opening event was graced by Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Chanel SAS and le19M, alongside artisans and artists from both countries, as well as key figures from the art and media worlds, including Momoko Ando, Yoichi Nishio, Shinichiro Ogata, Kayo Tokuda, and Aska Yamashita. Also in attendance were CHANEL ambassadors and artists Nana Komatsu and Hio Miyazawa, joined by acclaimed Japanese talents Sakura Ando, Fumi Nikaido, Ai Hashimoto, Natsuki Deguchi, and music artist Chanmina, who together embodied the spirit of creativity and cultural exchange that defines la Galerie du 19M Tokyo.
