Online luxury fashion retailer Moda Operandi recently announced their collaboration with Judith Leiber, an American accessory designer best known for her decorative handbags in the form of different animals, fruits and vegetables. The collection showcases a selection of unique one-of-a-kind collector bags, reissued from the brand’s archival museum.

Lauren Santo Dominga, founder of Moda Operandi, has selected a capsule of 45 iconic minaudières to be recut from their original molds and sold exclusively online on the platform. That includes Chatelaine – Leiber’s first design in 1967, made-to-order glistening koi fish, delicate birds, fruits and vegetables, and so much more. In addition to the archival pieces, a curated selection of new classics that require more than 100 hours to create by hand will also be offered.

Each sparkling clutch bag that is adorned with anywhere from 7,000 to 13,000 crystals that takes up to 20 highly skilled artisans to create. From retro mobile phones to electric guitars, each art piece in the collection is guaranteed to bring a smile to customers’ face, which is the fundamental role of fashion, according to Lauren.

The collection is available to order on Moda Operandi from now through October 7 and the best part is, they’ll delivered in time for the holidays. What’s more – 10 percent of the net profits from the trunk show will be donated to the Leiber Foundation, which supports local and global arts education and programming.
