At the all-villa Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island, airy Mediterranean-chic designer villas offer pockets of privacy complete with infinity pools and oversized rooftop terraces for lounging and socialising. Guests staying at the luxury resort between February 9 to 13 can share the holiday spirit with dragon mask-making classes, sommelier-led Chinese wine and cheese tasting workshops, pranic healing and traditional Chinese acupuncture at Talise Spa, and exquisite Cantonese flavours perfect for creating a sense of belonging and multigenerational sharing at the signature restaurants.

Over in urban Dubai, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, Madinat Jumeirah’s most intimate hotel, is inviting families to stage memorable reunions at one of its seven recently refurbished Malakiya Villas. Nestled along Madinat Jumeirah’s leafy waterways, the butler-attended villas come in two- and three-bedroom configurations and boast a plunge pool, expansive private terrace, kitchen and access to Madinat Jumeirah’s two-kilometre private beach and exclusive pools.
