Soloist – BoA

Dubbed the “Queen of K-pop”, BoA is one of South Korea’s most successful artists. She gained popularity as an influential singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer and actress. Her ability to sing in Korean, Japanese, English and Mandarin solidifies her achievements beyond South Korea in a global market. Undoubtedly, many artists regard BoA as an influence and role model.

Girls’ Generation – Hyoyeon and Taeyeon

Hyoyeon and Taeyeon debuted as members of the girl group Girls’ Generation in August 2007. Hyoyeon started her formal dance training from elementary school and was picked as Korea’s No. 1 idol dancer on Star News. Taeyeon released her debut extended play (EP), I, in October 2015, which peaked at No. 2 on South Korea’s Gaon Album Chart and charted atop the US Billboard World Albums.

Red Velvet – Wendy and Seulgi

Wendy and Seulgi debuted as members of the Red Velvet in July 2014. Wendy is the main vocalist of the group and became a solo artist with her first EP Like Water in April 2021, after recovering from a stage accident that happened in December 2020. Seulgi also debuted as a member of the sub-unit Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi in July 2020 with their first EP Monster, which became the best selling female sub-unit in South Korea in 2020.

aespa – Karina & Winter

Karina and Winter debuted as members of aespa in November 2020. Prior to her debut, Karina appeared in Taemin’s “Want” music video and performed alongside EXO’s Kai in a virtual show held by Hyundai Motors. Outside of aespa, Winter performed “ID; Peace B” at Mnet Asian Awards (MAMA) for BoA’s 20th Anniversary Special in December 2020.
