HKJC transform the horse racing experience with two new venues and a new AI-Gen tool
Happy Wednesdays have long been celebrated for offering the most exciting trackside experience in town. With the addition of the Club's two new bar and lounge spaces, city vibe seekers and tourists from overseas and mainland now have a fresh way to elevate their Wednesday nights.
Introducing Two New Venues: The Beat and Vantage
The Hong Kong Jockey Club is proud to announce the opening of its two newest venues: The Beat and Vantage at Happy Valley Racecourse. Located on the second and third floors of the Pavilion Stand, these spaces offer spectacular views of the track. Both venues are now open to the public on racedays, providing an elevated experience for all guests.
The Beat features expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlook the racetrack, allowing guests to immerse themselves in all the excitement. Guests can also step out onto the wraparound balcony for an up-close view of the thrilling action.
As you explore the venue, you'll notice several screens featuring the big digital Parade Ring, which serves as a focal point for conversation. This area includes an AI-Gen display for comparing horse performances, as well as leaderboards for jockeys and trainers, ensuring guests stay updated and informed for a winning experience. With this innovative technology, users can enhance their racing experience by selecting up to five factors - such as Fitness, Draw, Jockey, Trainer, and Track & Distance - to filter and identify top potential horses for upcoming races. The platform then displays two frontrunners for comparison, allowing users to explore additional horses as well. For those seeking deeper insights, a AI-generated summary provides a detailed analysis of recent performance trends. Guests are also invited to engage with gamification features that introduce an unprecedented level of immersive digital entertainment to their evening at the races.
At The Beat, the captivating lighting design creates an ideal photo backdrop in every corner, perfect for Instagram enthusiasts eager to capture the moment. The entertainment lineup is equally exciting, with the live music after the races, featuring a stunning LED backdrop. Whether it's a live show by the house band or a special night showcasing guest artists, the vibrant music will keep guests dancing and enjoying themselves all night long.
Sip all night on one of the signature cocktails, all named after some of Hong Kong’s greatest racing legends – from Golden Sixty to Romantic Warrior and more – while gourmet international bar bites will sate all kinds of appetites.
One floor above at Vantage, the atmosphere becomes more refined and indulgent, ideal for those looking for a retreat from the crowds without losing the thrill of racecourse views. Tailored for elite guests and their visiting VIPs, Vantage offers a glamorous setting for a sit-down meal, where guests can enjoy exquisite dining and bask in the venue's luxurious ambiance.
As its name suggests, Vantage also offers unbeatable views over the racecourse, ideal for you to clink glasses and celebrate successes while looking out to a glittering skyline.
While The Beat focuses on a vibrant atmosphere, Vantage offers a sophisticated music experience, featuring a blend of smooth lounge beats and electronic rhythms from the state-of-the-art DJ deck. The Club has engaged renowned DJs to curate some of the most glamorous Wednesday race nights ahead. Complete a remarkable evening with a delicious drink from Vantage’s extensive selection of uniquely crafted cocktails, along with a variety of premium sharing dishes and elevated snacks.
Vantage and The Beat are the places to be where the city's most chic engage with live racing. With the use of innovative technology, these two new venues bring the horse racing experience to new heights.
