Marrying East and West, Sau Lee’s clothing has been speaking to a whole new generation of multicultural Asians both at home in Hong Kong and abroad
Ringing in the lunar new year on brand and in style, founder Cheryl Leung hosted “Bubbles & Spice, and everything nice. A night of Moët & Chandon and hot pot with Sau Lee” at Lau Ha Hot Pot in Hong Kong, the brand’s headquarters.
Amid steaming, bubbling pots of ma la and chicken fish maw soup, friends of the brand and many #legend100 members clinked glasses of champagne while waiting with chopsticks suspended for their beef to cook. There were feathers and tweed and toned arms and lean legs.
Overheard in the lines formed while waiting for photographs in front of the restaurant’s massive fish tanks or by the mahjong rooms set up behind the main dining room, from almost every girl – “I really like your dress! I would totally buy it.”
