It’s time to heat things up. From Dior Lady handbags to Karl Lagerfeld’s decorative art, we have lined up some of the world’s most visually, aesthetically pleasing and fashionable pieces for this February

Dior Lady handbags

With a mission of “curating and presenting precious objects that represent a love for beauty and speak of dreams, passion and the eternal quest for ideas that go beyond the confines of time and space”, Vault is an online concept store and brainchild of Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele. In addition to pre-owned vintage Gucci pieces, it now features work by 12 jewellery designers such as Seb Brown, Bleue Burnham, Georgia Kemball and Fraser Hamilton. Each unique creation draws on art, poetry, astronomy or folkloric costumes to tell a distinct story.

Canada Goose

It’s beginning to feel a lot like winter. Just ask the VIP guests who attended the unveiling of Hong Kong’s first-ever Snow Room, inside Canada Goose’s Harbour City Gateway store. Celebrities such as Angie Ng, René Chu, Calvin Wang and Federico Tan bundled up in the luxury performance apparel brand’s first-ever footwear collection to launch in Asia-Pacific. Of the two innovative styles, the Snow Mantra Boot (pictured) is designed for use in extreme environments while the Journey Boot is perfect for hiking up a mountain or chasing down a Hong Kong taxi.

Bang & Olufsen

One is a Hong Kong-based fashion and lifestyle brand, the other is a Danish luxury audio brand. While they may seem an unlikely pair, CLOT and Bang & Olufsen have come together to create a celebration of life, music and Chinese culture in the form of the new, limited-edition Beosound A1 speaker. Taking inspiration from Jamaican reggae music and the pulsating rhythm of a heartbeat, the Besound A1’s aluminium grill surface is tinted in a bright metallic red “to resemble a blood cell that carries the essentials for culture creation as it channels music to our ears.”

Pangaia

With a brand name that combines “pan”, meaning all-inclusive, and “Gaia” for the Greek goddess of Earth, Pangaia is on a mission to save our environment through textile innovation, smart technology and sustainable solutions. Its unisex, all-age clothing line –available in-store and online at Lane Crawford from December 15 – features everyday wardrobe staples in organic cotton, recycled cotton, and proprietary fabrics C-Fiber (a combination of eucalyptus pulp and seaweed powder) and Pprmint (a durable odour-control finish and broad-spectrum antimicrobial treatment).

One of the undisputed icons of the modern fashion world, Karl Lagerfeld (1933–2019) is most widely remembered as the longtime creative director of Chanel. But those in his inner circle recall a man who was at once witty and worldly, with an encyclopaedic knowledge of art and culture exemplified in the 20 residences he is believed to have designed throughout his life. Now, Sotheby’s is offering a glimpse into Lagerfeld’s world for the very first time, with sales in Monaco and Paris of 650 lots from his private collection. They include several important pieces of decorative art.
