Samsung unveils its most advanced AI-enabled devices, promising smarter interactions and robust privacy protections

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S25 series, comprising the Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25+, and S25 models. These smartphones aim to redefine mobile technology with their AI-focused features, enhanced performance, and sustainable design.

Smarter interactions with multimodal AI

The Galaxy S25 series integrates multimodal AI agents capable of understanding text, speech, images, and video. These agents enable natural interactions across apps and services. For instance, Samsung’s Gemini assistant allows seamless commands like adding sports schedules to your calendar or finding specific photos in your gallery.

The devices also feature upgrades to Google’s “Circle to Search,” making it easier to identify and act on information displayed on your screen. Tasks such as calling a number or visiting a website now require only a single tap.

Privacy at the core

Samsung emphasises privacy with its Personal Data Engine. This system processes user data directly on the device, ensuring tailored experiences without compromising security. A feature like Now Brief provides proactive suggestions while keeping personal data protected by Knox Vault.

Additionally, Samsung has introduced post-quantum cryptography to safeguard against future cyber threats.

Performance Boost

The Galaxy S25 series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. This customised processor delivers significant improvements - 40 per cent in neural processing, 37 per cent in CPU performance, and 30 per cent in GPU efficiency compared to previous models. These enhancements support advanced AI tasks directly on the device, including photo editing tools like Generative Edit and Audio Eraser.

Gamers benefit from smoother graphics thanks to improved ray tracing and a redesigned heat dissipation system that ensures optimal performance during intensive use.

Pro-Level photography

The Galaxy S25 Ultra boasts a new 50MP ultrawide camera sensor and default 10-bit HDR recording for richer colours and sharper details. Low-light video quality has also been improved through advanced noise reduction algorithms.

For creators, tools like Virtual Aperture for depth-of-field control and Galaxy Log for colour grading bring professional-grade editing capabilities to mobile devices.
