The first collaborative release of Wristcheck x Atelier Wen Perception Special Edition was born on top of commitment to quality and exceptional craft. This collection of 100 limited pieces proudly showcases a handmade jade green guiloché dial, which requires eight hours to hand-craft each.

China’s sole master guilloché craftsman, Master Cheng, brings a unique Sunmao dial structure to this collection, reminiscing China’s ancient architectural masterpieces. It features four different height levels that capture an extraordinary amount of depth. In addition, each dial is unique in its engraving, and thus, each timepiece is distinguished from another.

For the first time in Atelier wen’s Perception line, the 40mm Special Edition comes cased in Grade five titanium, with a matching complete integrated bracelet and an extra grey FKM rubber strap. House’s signature attention to detail and impeccable finishing has crafted its bracelet on both brushed and polished surfaces.

The watch is powered by Maison’s customised extra-thin Dandong SL1588 automatic movement, offering 41 hours of power reserve and 10 ATM of water resistance. Its semi-open case back features a ‘shishi’ motif, revealing a tungsten rotor with circular côtes de Genèeve, matching rhodium plating in green.

Wristcheck founder Austen Chu and Atelier Wen founder Robin Tallendier first came up with this collaboration idea over breakfast at Watches and Wonders in 2022. This partnership was born pleasantly based on mutual respect of commitment to quality and exceptional craft.

“Austen Chu was the first person to ever reach out about a potential collaboration. Not just for Perception, but for the whole of the Atelier Wen brand itself, back n November 2021,” says Robin Tallerdier. “We admired the energy that was fuelling his passion, as well as his commitment to genuinely spreading the love for horology. This echoed what we were aiming to achieve with Atelier Wen.”
