The 2025 MAMA Awards may have been a more sombre affair than planned. But it directed attention and effort to where it truly counted – to those affected by the fires in Tai Po estate, Hong Kong’s deadliest fire in decades. But at its core, the awards ceremony was about celebrating the best of K-pop. G-Dragon picked up one of his four awards from Hong Kong’s cinema #legend Chow Yun Fat, and gave a touching performance of his song “Untitled”.
