Carlos Alcaraz, a rising star in the tennis world and Rolex brand ambassador, cemented his place in the sport’s pantheon on Sunday, clinching his maiden French Open singles title in a riveting five-set triumph

Facing a packed house at Court Philippe-Chatrier, the 21-year-old Spaniard battled through challenging conditions over the fortnight to secure a 6–3, 2–6, 5–7, 6–1, 6–2 victory, becoming the first male player to win his first three Grand Slam titles on three different surfaces.

“I’m really grateful to have the team I have and the people I have around me,” Alcaraz said during the prize-giving ceremony, where he was presented the Musketeers’ trophy by tennis legend Björn Borg, a fellow Rolex testimonee.

In 2022, he claimed his first Grand Slam title at the US Open, becoming the youngest world No. 1 in tennis history at the age of 19.
