Space is precious in Hong Kong for visitors and residents alike. The crowds are overwhelming and sometimes you just need an escape. That’s why I recently took a staycation weekend at the new Kerry Hotel. It’s just above Hung Hom, and boasts unbelievable views over Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong skyline. Here, you’re spoiled for space.
Designed by architect Rocco Yim and interior designer André Fu, the Kerry is all about curves. The fluid design mimics the movement of water, blending the indoor and outdoor areas together seamlessly. The curvilinear shape ensures more than half of the rooms have sweeping floor-to-ceiling window views over the harbour – a panorama to enjoy from your champagne bubble bath.
The rooms are beautiful and airy, but my favourite part is the heated infinity pool and the adjoining outdoor terrace and bar. They overlook the harbour and every corner is Instagrammable. There’s nothing better than a morning dip and breakfast after getting that perfect shot.
