During the city’s busiest season, what we all need is a place where we can gather quietly. The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong’s winter festive programme offers exactly that a way to rediscover calm above the bustling city. Aimee Yan looks at what’s in store

From dining and activities to its stay experiences, The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong’s festive arrangements reflect a thoughtful attempt to break down holiday living into finer details. Everyday flavours are transformed into moments meant to be savoured at a slower pace. Whether with family, friends, or a partner, everyone can find their own winter rhythm here.

The festive atmosphere begins on the 9th-floor lobby. In collaboration with Maison Diptyque, the hotel avoids overly lavish decorations and instead creates a gentle holiday cadence through scent and light. From a 16-foot Christmas tree adorned with ten Diptyque holiday ornaments to a handcrafted Outpost Cabin, the space becomes an invitation to slow down.
Imagine the hotel as a winter market that programmes unfold one after another. Diptyque’s bespoke experiences, and a charity initiative featuring the Christmas edition of The Ritz-Carlton lion plush all bring together a sense of joy and warmth.

As the elevator rises to the 103rd floor, the lobby waiting area is transformed into a life-sized gingerbread house. From gingerbread workshops beloved by families to the daily Advent Calendar interactive games, the hotel becomes a place that captures the shared anticipation of both adults and children.
But the true heart of the festive season lies at the dining table. Across floors 102 to 118, the hotel’s restaurants and bar offer a variety of celebratory menus from December 24, 2025 to January 1, 2026.

Tosca di Angelo draws inspiration from Italian holiday traditions, blending the rustic warmth of Sicilian cuisine with festive grandeur. Dishes such as Alaskan King Crab and White Truffle Ravioli are designed to be enjoyed slowly.

Tin Lung Heen preserves the elegance of an Eastern celebration, presenting refined Cantonese dishes in six- to eight-course dinners.

Café 103 and The Lounge & Bar offer afternoon tea, as well as lunch and dinner buffets. On Boxing Day, The Lounge & Bar also serves a three‑course set lunch and dinner menu – ideal for spending cozy festive moments with loved ones.

Ozone welcomes the New Year with a 70s disco revival, where music and the city’s nightscape take centre stage which is perfect for those bidding farewell to the year.

For stays, the hotel introduces Ritz Family Nutcracker Enchanted Retreat. From a themed afternoon tea and a special lion plush to a VIP theatre programme created in partnership with the Hong Kong Ballet, families are given the chance to experience art and holiday storytelling in an approachable, everyday way.

Throughout the stay, festive decorations at the Club Lounge, a curated fragrance set, and a welcome drink of Champagne or Sparkling Tea add a quiet sense of embrace to the overall experience, a kind of comfort that distils the holiday season into something cleaner and calmer.
