With the Hong Kong-Singapore travel bubble suspended and group gatherings reduced to two, it’s no surprise that everyone’s talking about booking a staycation for the holiday season. And while Hongkongers are spoilt for choice when it comes to world-class hotel offerings, the city is welcoming a newcomer this December with The Hari, Hong Kong.
Owned by Dr. Aron Harilela – chairman and CEO of Harilela Hotels Ltd and a Hong Kong native whose family has resided in the city for five generations – The Hari Hong Kong is the sister hotel of The Hari London. Ahead of its opening on Saturday, 12 December 2020, we reveal five things you need to know about this new property.
Location
Strategically situated on Lockhart Road between the vibrant districts of Wan Chai and Causeway Bay, The Hari Hong Kong is home to a prestigious address that Dr. Harilela has described as “a pocket right in the heart of the most bustling parts of town.”
Design
Spearheaded by acclaimed British interior designer Tara Bernerd, who also designed the The Hari London, The Hari Hong Kong inherits the legacy of The Hari with a relaxed sense of elegance, evident in the dominating colour palette of blues, greens and earthy tones. Texture is another important element, which is reflected in the leathers, marble and textured linens throughout the hotel.
Rooms
The Hari Hong Kong comprises 210 guestrooms, including three rooftop suites that house a five-piece bathroom (that’s two sinks, one bathtub, one shower and toilet), a separate sitting room and its own private terrace.
Designed to make hotel guests feel like they’re “walking into the most elegant of Hong Kong homes,” the suites are adorned with velvet furniture, bespoke timber credenzas, floor lamps, and glass-topped marble coffee tables that evoke mid-century modern inspiration.
F&B
Once open, The Hari Hong Kong will be home to some of the most exciting dining destinations in town, including Lucciola Restaurant & Bar for Italian classics with a modern twist and Japanese restaurant, Zoku Restaurant & Terrace, featuring a sleek, lounge-style terrace bar as well as dining room that serves Japanese favourites.
Opening offer
Want to be one of the first to stay at The Hari Hong Kong? The new hotel is offering a “Welcome to The Hari” package starting from HK$1,450 +10% per night, which comes with HK$700 of F&B credit per stay and late check-out until 3pm. This offer is available until 31 March 2021.
