Bar.Yard raises the temperature once again with a bold new transformation. Perched atop Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, the city’s high-energy rooftop bar and restaurant sharpens its edge with elevated food, inventive drinks and an electrifying sense of fun—redefining what a Bangkok night out can be.

We have now brought together everything our guests love and taken it to the next level.”
The extensive redesign comes courtesy of global design firm Chapman Taylor, which introduces a refreshed visual identity rooted proudly in Thai culture. The number “๔0” anchors the new logo, symbolising both the rooftop’s height and the bar’s fiery spirit. A vivid colour palette and striking graphic icons—from hornbills and birds of paradise to serpents and the sun—combine to create a bold visual universe that feels instantly recognisable and effortlessly photogenic.
Bar.Yard’s new uniforms also make a statement. Thai fashion brand Leisure Projects, led by designer Nattapon Kanokvaleewong, reimagines staff attire through the lens of the venue’s renewed energy. Drawing inspiration from the updated visual identity, the designs pair eye-catching colours and patterns with relaxed silhouettes and natural fabrics, perfectly suited to Bangkok’s tropical climate.
In the kitchen, Chef Julio César Concha Muñoz brings a global perspective shaped by his Peruvian roots and years of experience across Latin America and beyond. He blends vibrant Latin fermentation techniques, smoky grilling and bright, acidic sauces with Thai spices, herbs and street-food influences. The result is a menu designed for sharing—encouraging dinners to flow seamlessly into late-night celebrations, in tune with Bar.Yard’s pulsing rhythm.
Cocktails complete the experience, drawing inspiration from both Thai flavours and Latin American folklore. Playful, bold and mischievous, the signature drinks include the unmissable BDSM (Best Damn Spicy Margarita), a fiery crowd-pleaser; Do You Dare, which combines Acholado Pisco and Campari with a homemade sweet chilli and raspberry syrup; and Mamuang Suk, a smooth Thai–Latin fusion with irresistible charm.
Located on the 40th floor of Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, Bar.Yard welcomes guests from sunset through to the late hours, transitioning effortlessly from golden-hour drinks to vibrant nights. The venue opens Sunday to Wednesday from 5.00pm to 1.00am, and extends its hours from Thursday to Saturday until 2.00am.
