“…Burberry unveils its Autumn/Winter 2025 campaign under the title A GRAND ESCAPE, a narrative that reflects a journey of both artistry and emotion. For the new season, Daniel Lee, Chief Creative Officer, revisits the intricate world of textiles and interior design, inspirations that once formed the very heart of the Autumn/Winter 2025 runway show, reinterpreting them with a fresh, modern sensibility…”

The campaign was photographed within the reception rooms and grounds of Wolterton Hall, a masterpiece of Palladian architecture by Thomas Ripley. This setting not only echoes the inspirations behind the show but also pays tribute to the heritage of British craftsmanship and authentic luxury.

To capture the spirit of A GRAND ESCAPE, Burberry invited an ensemble of artists and creatives, including acclaimed British actor Rupert Everett, model and artist Jenny Howorth, and Luther Ford of The Crown. Rising talents such as Lina Zhang, Assa Baradji, Tristan Watkins, Leon Keenan, and Iris Lasnet, the latter having debuted on Burberry’s runway last winter, further embody the vision of the season.

The Autumn/Winter 2025 collection transforms Burberry’s most iconic pieces with renewed vitality. Raincoats emerge in striking silhouettes crafted from viscose blends, velvet corduroy, and embossed leather. The new Ellingham car coat takes on exaggerated volume, while quilted jackets in geranium prints and oversized fringed scarves highlight artisanal elegance, seamlessly balanced with shearling and alpaca outerwear.

Coats and jackets are reimagined in cashmere and mohair wools, complemented by chunky knit shawl collars. Silk pyjama-style shirts and trousers are layered beneath, while velvet suits and coats, inspired by the prints of William Morris, evoke equestrian uniforms. The collection’s palette explores rich tones, Deer Taupe browns, rebellious punk-inspired reds and yellows, alongside Alder and Maze Green, harmonised with Burberry Check intarsia. Tailoring remains precise in the Savile Row tradition, pairing wool and corduroy suits with jodhpurs and checked kilts, blending countryside refinement with urban polish.

Cross-stitch embroidery inspired by historical textiles enriches velvet damask gowns and pleated evening dresses, featuring hand-rendered peacock motifs that move with painterly grace. Footwear draws from the English countryside with embossed leathers and refined fabrics. Highlights include the Cavalier and Ledger boots, defined by intarsia techniques, while the Cameo quilted velvet court shoes and slippers exude timeless opulence.

Accessories continue the narrative of heritage and innovation. The Bridle bag references saddle silhouettes, complete with curved handles and bridle-inspired hardware, while the Highlands line reinterprets the iconic Burberry Check in exquisite intarsia leatherwork.

Behind the campaign, Daniel Lee collaborated with Lane & Associates as art directors, with imagery captured through the lens of renowned photographer Sam Rock. The result is a renewed vision of British luxury, one that seamlessly intertwines history, artistry, and fashion with enduring elegance.
