“…The Cape Cod collection by Hermès takes on a new scale-downsized in proportion, yet more defined in identity than ever. The Cape Cod ‘Mini’ reinterprets the iconic watch first introduced in 1991 through a contemporary lens, while preserving exquisite attention to detail in every element…”

The original lines drawn by Henri d’Origny are expressed through the signature rounded square case. Its “square within a rectangle” construction, inspired by anchor-chain links, remains at the heart of the design, setting Cape Cod distinctly apart within the world of Hermès Horloger. In this new iteration, the proportions are reduced to 27 × 20 mm, a smaller size that enhances the softness of the curves and brings greater dimensionality to the case. The surfaces are designed to interact with light with subtle sophistication, whether in polished or diamond-set versions adorned with 46 stones.

Each variation adds just the right amount of brilliance without compromising the understated elegance that defines Hermès. Available in steel and yellow gold, the watch is paired with a spectrum of dial colours—from argenté, étoupe, and ardoise, which convey quiet refinement, to doré and Rouge H, whose warm tones evoke a deeper, more expressive sense of luxury.

Each shade is carefully balanced with the material of the case. A defining feature of the Cape Cod is its single or double tour leather strap, which wraps naturally around the wrist and enhances the fluidity of the design. Crafted in Swift calfskin or Chamkilight goatskin, each strap offers a soft, refined touch while reflecting the Maison’s exceptional craftsmanship.

Powered by a Swiss-made quartz movement with hour and minute functions and water-resistant to 3 bar, the Cape Cod Mini balances elegance with everyday practicality.

Ultimately, the Cape Cod Mini does not seek to reinvent itself for the sake of novelty. Instead, it refines what already exists, revealing the quiet strength of a true icon.
