“The Quest of PRAKAAN” emerged as one of the defining cultural moments of 2026, not merely as a brand launch, but as a contemporary ritual that re-examines heritage, identity and Thailand’s potential upon the global stage. Conceived under the philosophy of “Recomposing Thainess to a World-Class Ritual,” the evening unfolded as both statement and sensorial manifesto.

PRAKAAN, Thailand’s first premium single malt whisky, curated a multi-sensory experience in which flavour, sound, image and architecture converged with deliberate intent. The historic The House on Sathorn was transformed into a theatrical landscape of storytelling through an immersive mapping experience. Here, the narrative traced the pristine waters flowing from Thailand’s Western Forest Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage natural sanctuary, to Kamphaeng Phet, home to the distillery. It was a journey weaving together provenance, pride and passion into a singular rhythm of becoming.

Yet the evening was animated by far more than taste alone. It became a site of cultural dialogue, between art and craft, tradition and technology. Thai artists NIXSA x Synthderellar translated the essence of single malt into contemporary electronic composition, employing modular synthesis to construct a new sonic vocabulary through which “Thainess” could travel confidently across borders.

At the heart of the event lay the TRIBURA Multi-Sensory Space, three rooms, three dimensions, three distinct characters, unfolding like a triptych of poetry, each chapter moving at its own cadence while remaining intrinsically connected.

The PRAKAAN SELECT CASK ROOM glowed in warm hues of gold, suffused with notes of citrus, vanilla and honey. Thai gastronomy was reinterpreted with refinement, pairing harmoniously with the whisky’s profile. Melt and Reform infused house music with Thai sonic elements, crafting a living soundscape that flowed in tandem with malt and water.

The PRAKAAN DOUBLE CASK ROOM explored depth through texture and timber, echoing the complexity of its dual maturation process. Aromas of dried fruit, chocolate and gentle spice were articulated into a richly layered palate. The performance “The Sonic Ritual” interwove traditional Thai drums, percussion and electronic sound with compelling intensity, embodying both heritage and experimentation.

The journey concluded within the PRAKAAN PEATED MALT ROOM, a chamber of smoke and resonance. Peat-fired techniques and charred nuance were elevated into an atmospheric, almost meditative encounter. The experience unfolded alongside the live textures and fluid improvisations of Réjizz, blending Jazz-Hop, Neo-Soul and Thai-Funk into a singular, genre-defying expression, a portrait of a new Thai generation poised between ancestral roots and an expansive world.

“The Quest of PRAKAAN” was therefore not simply the unveiling of a product, but a declaration of intent: a Thai brand prepared to recompose its cultural identity into a ritual of world-class stature. This ambition is underscored by PRAKAAN’s continued international recognition, most notably as Category Winner at the World Whiskies Awards 2025 in the Single Malt Whisky No Age Statement category for the second consecutive year ,  affirming both craft and conviction on the global stage.
