Despite the common association of Valentino with luxurious evening gowns and the finest level of intricate garments, the brand has chosen to depart from this detailed craftsmanship for this special collection. Instead, they have showcased the charm of casual elegance through the Escape 2024 collection.
The latest collection is rich with a variety of casual pieces, including kaftans, loose-fitting shirts, dresses, skirts, one-shoulder tops, wide-leg pants, and other kinds of swimwear. Making it a little bit easy for those who see the designs from this collection to imagine the inspiration coming from luxurious seaside villas and the relaxed atmosphere of coastal living.
Furthermore, this special collection doesn’t only break away from the iconic image of Valentino as a luxury Italian brand, but the Maison also integrates two signature patterns into the designs of the Escape 2024 collection, including the Valentino Chevron 24 pattern from the Valentino Spring 2019 collection and the Valentino Starfish pattern from the Valentino Spring Summer 2015 collection are subtly woven into the details, maintaining a connection to the brand's heritage.
However, the allure of this special collection is yet to stop there. These signature patterns are also embellished on a variety of accessories within the collection. They adorn colourful tote bags, espadrilles, bucket bags, and smaller accessories such as headbands, hats, multifunctional pouches, and much more.
The Valentino Escape 2024 collection is available online and at the selected boutiques starting in May. To celebrate and welcome the arrival of the collection, the Maison has crafted numerous special experiences. These include exclusive moments on a hot air balloon in Cappadocia, in the mountains of Turkey, a Mytheresa boat trip in the south of France, and various other events worldwide. These celebrations span from launches in the United States to Oman and many of Europe's most famous summer destinations.
