"...Louis Vuitton Cruise fashion show transports us to a world beyond our everyday lives. Exquisite locations with breathtaking architecture that have yet to be graced by a fashion runway. Given these compelling reasons, there is an ideal setting to showcase the eccentric designs of Nicolas Ghesquière. Barcelona, Spain, is undeniably the perfect destination for the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2025 show. The city's lively atmosphere perfectly complements Nicolas's avant-garde style with the colorful spirit of Spain..."
The Venue
This show took place at Park Güell, a stunning creation by Antoni Gaudi. Construction of this masterpiece began in 1900 and was finally completed fourteen years later. This venue is located in Carmel valley, situated on the upper side of Barcelona. In addition, the Gaudi House Museum is in a truly exquisite location, serving as the final residence of the renowned architect. Additionally, this location has been acknowledged as a renowned world historic site by UNESCO since 1984. The Neo-Gothic architecture of the place seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings, while the art of mosaic embellishment reflects Gaudi's distinctive style. The corridor in the Hypostyle room has been turned into an extravagant runway to warmly greet all 400 esteemed guests from across the globe.
The Collection
The latest designs by Nicolas embrace vibrant hues inspired by the lively vibes of Spain and the rich heritage of traditional Spanish attire, while maintaining a subtle and understated approach. The focus was on evoking emotion and creating an appealing aesthetic with a futuristic twist, incorporating elements such as colour, silhouette, and intricate details. From the very first glance, it was impossible to miss the striking shoulder dress with its unique standing collar. The outfit catches attention with its impeccable tailoring and complementing wide-brimmed hat, instantly recognisable as a gaucho hat due to its distinctive shape. The poncho-style shoulder cape has been used to create a contemporary and sleek appearance in various outfits, such as crop tops and short dresses that exude a stylish and modern vibe.
The ruffle detail of the flamenco dresses and the embroidery on the matador's uniform have been integrated into many of the looks in the collection. The combination of feminine detail and masculine style is evident in this ensemble. A see-through shirt, embroidered with a Spanish pattern, is paired with a long leather jacket and tweed pants. The look is completed with leather ankle boots. In addition, the use of draping technique in the outfits creates volume and gives a modern touch to the clothes, reflecting the unique style of Nicolas and portraying the women of Louis Vuitton in the most stylish way.
The Accessories
The accessories in this collection enhance Nicolas' Señorita's look with a stylish flair. Choose from a range of fashionable options, such as a sporty multi-layered coated polarised eyeglass or an oversized leather belt with two side pockets. They bring an air of refinement and elegance to any ensemble. The collection also features metal brooches and earrings that imitate the appearance of graphic draped fabric. A wide-brimmed straw hat, embellished with a leather ribbon stripe reminiscent of the Spanish gaucho hat, resulting in a must-have piece for hat lovers.
The Shoes & Bags
The shoes that complete the style of the collection this time are pointed-toe leather boots adorned with belts that come in a range of colours, including black leather, metallic leather, and shiny gray leather. Inject a touch of thrill with ankle boots adorned with layered leather tassels. Long riding boots are a standout feature that adds to the overall look. When it comes to bag design, Nicolas has expertly incorporated the beautiful nuances of Spanish embroidery, resulting in captivating details that are truly mesmerising.
