The Corner House: Serenity space for all tasteful lifestyle

This historic structure, known as "Chai Phatthanasin," has a storied past that dates back to 1910, making it over 114 years old and one of Thailand's invaluable architectural legacies. Owned by Khun Sermchai Srisomwong, the building has undergone various transformations, serving as a showroom, office, and even a skateboard rink, with a variety of exhibitions and art showcases, including its notable involvement in Bangkok Design Week 2022.

Talat Noi area has blossomed into a significant destination for Thailand's creative community and a trendy hotspot for the young generation This vibrant transformation has inspired the Chai Phatthanasin building to undergo yet another renovation, rebranding itself as “The Corner House.” This revitalised space is dedicated to becoming a Creative Lifestyle Community within the Talat Noi district and aims to champion the creative energies of the present age.

Since its official launch last year, The Corner House has returned with renewed vigour, thanks to significant collaborations with IF - Integrated Field, led by Thanapolpoj Rochnattakul, and W Workspace, who have added layers of intrigue to this historic building through the unveiling of diverse boutiques across its multiple floors.

Beginning on the first floor that has been transformed into a vibrant hub for restaurants, cafes, and lifestyle boutiques. Highlights include SARNIES at The Corner House, an all-day dining venue that aims to establish itself as a beloved café during daylight hours.Juitee x Akkara, a delightful fusion of traditional Southern Thai desserts and the innovative “Bangkokian” lifestyle, designed by Akkara Bangkok. Yellow Cloud Craft Beer & Bottles Shop, a haven for craft beer enthusiasts showcasing unique local brews.Dek-Nuer Asian Fusion, an inventive take on the classic Khao Kriab Pak Mor. Tearaphy, a tea room where visitors can create bespoke blends from organic teas paired with delectable bakery offerings. The space also hosts Den Souvenir Bangkok Newsstand, an independent lifestyle boutique from Chiang Mai, and Abandon Radio Bangkok Station, a creative hub for sharing and experiencing art and music.

On the second floor, while maintaining its status as a creative multifunctional space, part of the area has been transformed into Liana Fine Dining, a fine dining restaurant that exquisitely merges British and French culinary traditions. Established by the husband-and-wife, Warat Areerom and Soohyun Lee,will open in Jauary with a menu that varies with the seasons, making the most of local ingredients to offer diners an unparalleled taste of modern European cuisine .

Another remarkable feature of The Corner House is the Such A Small World on the third floor, Thailand's first co-playing space. This social hub brings together various forms of entertainment, including a cinema, café, gaming facilities, board games, and an extensive vinyl library housing around 6,500 records, with a highlight being the Listening Station, a personal vinyl player with headphones, encouraging visitors to engage with music in a unique way.

Finally, the fourth floor boasts The Corner Rooftop, a multifunctional area that accommodates a variety of events, from parties and exhibitions to workshops, set to open on 29 November 2024.

The Corner House also promises an array of surprises that will leave an enduring impression on visitors during the year-end festivities from November through December. It stands as an unmissable destination for those seeking to celebrate and create cherished memories.
