"...The author previously recounted the history of Baur au Lac, an ultra-luxury hotel located at the corner of Talstraße No. 1, in the 8001 district of Zurich, Switzerland, in the previous issue. In this current issue, the story expands to highlight the newly opened restaurant, ‘Marquita,’ and its intriguing details. Beyond that, the author shares another remarkable experience that deserves a spot on your itinerary for a year-end trip..."
This memorable experience started from staying at the hotel and having the opportunity to take a boat ride on the lake, surrounded by buildings and offering breathtaking views of the Alps. The boat ride took place under clear skies that revealed the cool-toned palette of the city, creating a serene and magical atmosphere. During the early fall, I had the chance to sail aboard the 120-year-old boat ‘Tugenia’, lovingly maintained by the hotel team and captained by Roger, who not only navigated the boat but also took on the role of a guide.
Roger shared fascinating stories about the city, the boat, and answered every question with engaging insights. This 2-hour experience was nothing short of extraordinary—a phenomenon that left an indelible impression on me. It felt like recharging with pure positive energy, an experience that filled my heart with happiness and inspiration.
