95 restaurants (78 from Hong Kong and 17 from Macau) reached for the stars in the 15th edition of the Michelin Guide Hong Kong and Macau, unveiled on April 26 at the Grand Lisboa Macau
Michelin inspectors placed 67 establishments in the one-star category for their “high quality cooking, worth a stop.” From Hong Kong, new additions include D.H.K., Godenya, Nagamoto, Noi, the newly-relocated The Chairman and The Demon Celebrity, as well as Estro, Kappo Rin and Neighbourhood.
“Demon Chef” Alvin Leung’s Bo Innovation and Lai Ching Heen (renamed from Yan Toh Heen in 2022) are the two new debutants in the two-star category, with St. Regis’ Rùn being the only promotion from one-star status.
There are ten restaurants “worth a special journey” and given the three-star category. Four Seasons Hong Kong’s Lung King Heen has dropped down the ranks to a two star, while Ta Vie ascends the ladder to take its place.
Chef Vicky Lau’s soy-centric Mora was the only new entrant to the Michelin Green Star, bringing the total count to four.
Three hospitality talents also received special individual awards, including the Young Chef Award, which went to 31-year-old head chef from Hansik Goo Steve Lee; Sommelier Award and Service Award.
