“…Renowned French skincare brand La Roche-Posay, known for its longstanding commitment to supporting patients in various capacities, has introduced a new, thoughtfully designed website – www.cancer-support.com/th – aimed at bolstering both the physical and mental health of cancer patients. This online platform serves as a vital, carefully curated space, bringing together a wealth of information, expert guidance, and training resources, all crafted to empower cancer patients to manage their well-being alongside their medical treatments…”
Tailored specifically to address the needs of both cancer patients and their caregivers, the website draws on research by the French Cancer Patient Support Association. Its structured, four-part curriculum is designed to offer quick yet impactful learning sessions, covering crucial topics ranging from mental health to side effect management. Each module is thoughtfully presented in 15-minute training sessions, complete with interactive Q&A sections to enhance understanding. The four modules are as follows:
- Mental Health and Work – Practical advice for managing the psychological impacts that patients may face following a diagnosis.
- Skin, Hair, and Nail Care – Effective techniques for caring for skin, hair, and nails during cancer treatments.
- Nutrition – Dietary guidelines to support health through each stage of treatment.
- Pain and Fatigue Management – Strategies for physical self-care and ways to enrich daily life despite fatigue.
These comprehensive resources not only enhance caregivers’ understanding but equip them with practical skills that can be applied directly in daily life. Additionally, La Roche-Posay has committed to donate €1 to the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) for every course completed on the platform, supporting long-term initiatives to aid cancer patients globally. Participation in this programme thus becomes a meaningful way for patients and caregivers to not only gain valuable knowledge but to also contribute to a larger mission of hope and support for cancer patients worldwide.
