"...Aside from exquisite leather goods and impeccably crafted accessories, Hermès continues to stand out as one of the top-tier luxury brands renowned for curating truly precious lifestyle pieces with genuine sophistication..."

Under the spectrum of design excellence and creative innovation showcased by various brands and designers at this year’s Milan Design Week, Hermès stands out as an undeniably captivating focal point. Beyond merely decorating exhibition spaces, Hermès captivates attention through the presentation of Collections For The Home, utilising various simple materials such as brick, stone, slate, wood and compacted earth to craft unique environments. These spaces communicate a shared symbolism of unity between the world and the participants.

Furthermore, the brand also unveils its new collection, complemented by the unveiling of precious design sets that have been meticulously curated since 1949, reinforcing its unwavering commitment to excellence in craftsmanship and timeless beauty that transcends generations.

Lounge Chair: Diapason D’Hermès

The Studio Hermès 2024 presents impeccably designed furniture pieces, notably the modern lounge chair. These creations seamlessly blend formal design with the brand’s expertise in leather craftsmanship, evident in the armrests and seating of the chair. The chair’s frame, made of genuine silver, is further enhanced to embody uniqueness through the Hammered finishing technique, paired with Timoure, a necklace design that debuted in 2002. Timoure stands out with its sleek and luxurious design crafted from genuine silver, created using the same technique, showcasing the brand’s timeless elegance.

Lamp: Voltige D’Hermès

The charming lamps, packed with Hermès’ distinctive aesthetic, bear the hallmark of craftsmanship in every detail. Adorned with interest through two-tone leather braided cords around the lamp stems and leather-trimmed edges on the lampshades, crafted from linen fabric, these lamps exude sophistication. They are showcased alongside a hunting whip with a hook made of deer antler, dating back to 1980s, intricately woven from leather and featuring a genuine silver ferrule.

Basket: Derby

Techniques of saddle making and expertise in leather crafting have been melded into lifestyle products, giving birth to the versatile Derby woven basket. It stands out with its meticulously crafted structure, size, and geometric shape. Through a variety of leather strips meticulously crafted by hand, the skill in leather craftsmanship of the brand’s master artisans is conveyed into exquisite pieces that speak of taste and sophistication in every dimension. Paired with a leather bracelet in box calfskin lined with Chamonix, dating back to 1970, originating from an iconic piece from that era.

Bucket: Derby

For the first time, the techniques of saddle-making and expertise in leather crafting have been combined to create lifestyle products, resulting in the coveted Derby Bucket. Standing out with its meticulously crafted structure, size, and geometric shape, it showcases various shades of leather meticulously crafted by hand. This conveys the skill of the brand’s master artisans in leather craftsmanship, resulting in exquisite pieces that exude taste and sophistication in every dimension. Paired with the Mangeoire bag model from 1949, crafted from green-toned calfskin, this ensemble epitomises iconic craftsmanship.

Centrepiece: Derby

Similarly to the first two, the Basket and Bucket models, this Derby piece has been infused with the essence of the coveted tray design. Featuring two-tone leather in neutral and orange tones, meticulously crafted through artisanal techniques in every detail. Paired with the Jockey’s jersey shirt, an iconic vintage model from the 1980s, crafted from silk satin fabric, this ensemble delivers a sense of timeless sophistication.

Watch and Jewellery Box: Amalthèe Myriade

The classic-designed watch and jewellery box, crafted from wood and sheathed in leather on all sides, are distinguished by the ink-dyeing technique from the brand’s expert master artisans. They feature small dot motifs and brightly coloured myriad lines, contrasting with the original material tones, resulting in intricate and impressive decorative patterns. Paired with gloves crafted from beige-toned baby goatskin, embellished with dark brown thread embroidery, these key pieces date back to the 1950s.

Dinner Service: Tressages Équestres

The table set, brimming with the distinctive identity of the brand, is adorned with patterns inspired by horses and riders on more than 27 pieces. Interestingly, these lifestyle pieces are crafted by Studio Hermès and have also been designed and developed by Virginie Jamin, the renowned artist who has left her mark on numerous flagship projects for Hermès. Pairing with a strap in fine cotton rope from the 1950s.

Bedspread: Hippique

Crafted from the designs of Jochen Gerner, this piece delivers graphic patterns that seamlessly meld geometric shapes. These patterns, conveyed through a palette of colours and arranged in a manner reminiscent of the multicoloured flags found in motifs drawn from jockeys’ silks, create an enchanting fusion. Paired with the Jockey’s jersey, an original model from the 1960s crafted from silk fabric.

Bed Blanket: Tartan Dye

The blanket provides a touch softer than clouds, crafted from cashmere and haute couture dye techniques, resulting in shades of bronze and sunny yellow. Vertical and horizontal bands are arranged to resemble a large chequerboard, adorned with the iconic H logo symbolizing the essence of Hermès. Paired with the Jockey’s jersey, an original model from the 1950s crafted from silk satin fabric.

Throw: Altitude

The blanket piece, crafted from cashmere in warm tones, is intricately woven using artisanal techniques and hand-dyed methods from Nepal. Elevated with meticulously crafted fringe in boldly contrasting tones, it exudes elegance. Paired with the braided whip in Maroquin leather on a fiber rod, originating from 1998.
