"...Following the resounding success of the Tiepolo Ball at Palazzo Labia in Venice in 2019, the prestigious luxury brand recently unveiled a flagship project. This venture aims to uphold cultural excellence through involvement in the Naumachia Ball, taking place on April 20, 2024..."

The exceptional nature of this event transcends mere attention to detail. The venue's significance plays an indispensable role in this narrative. The Arsenale Vecchio of Venice, an unparalleled maritime shipyard dating back to the 12th century, stands as a globally recognised symbol of historical importance. It serves as a testament to the history and. grandeur of the Serenissima, selected as the venue for this prestigious project.

The richness of the surrounding area of this building evokes dreams of the immense architectural treasures of Venice. While the building itself remains majestic, seamlessly blending with its surroundings, various points within it have opened doors to welcome a myriad of art exhibitions. From the renowned International Art and Architecture Exhibitions of La Biennale di Venezia to various contemporary showcases, the collaboration between these two giants marks the first time that the Arsenale Vecchio has permitted outsiders to experience the enchantment of interior design.

To honour the relationship between Venice and waterways, the name 'Naumachia,’ which signifies a naval battle, has become emblematic of the simulated naval battle in this project. The decoration tones and three-dimensional atmosphere design drew inspiration from the mesmerising spectacle of the Colosseum in Rome. The brand ensured that Naumachia would be the most exceptional gala ever seen, further emphasising Dior's mission to promote culture and excellence in creative endeavours.

Furthermore, this gala also serves as a fundraising effort to support the restoration of the Porta Magna, considered one of the architectural marvels of Venice. Simultaneously, the project includes the reconstruction of the Ca’ d’Oro museum, a significant promise aimed at preserving and delivering the cultural heritage of Venice for future generations.
