#obsessed: Top picks from Vacheron Constantin, Aesop, Baccarat, and more

This month, #legend is #obsessed with the latest from Vacheron Constantin, Aesop, Baccarat, Balenciaga, Nike and Coach

Fit for the gods

Following their debut in Venice last year at the Homo Faber craftsmanship showcase, Vacheron Constantin is presenting the Les Cabinotiers Minute Repeater Ultra-thin Thunder God and Wind God timepieces for the first time in Hong Kong at its newly refurbished Landmark Prince’s boutique. The two Les Cabinotiers watches, which drew inspiration from an exquisite work of art by 17th-century Japanese artist Tawaraya Sōtatsu, are joined by a quadriptych that the Louvre Museum created on-site at Homo Faber with the maison, as well as other Metiers d’Art masterpieces from its private collection. Until August 23.

Raising the bar

Designed to elevate even the most banal aspects of personal maintenance while providing a deep sense of sensorial enjoyment, Aesop’s three new Bar Soaps are as uniquely efficacious as they are delightfully aromatic. Refresh, with its citrus and floral notes, delivers an invigorating, non-drying cleanse; Polish, with a a green, camphoraceous character, effects gentle exfoliation; and Nurture, with a woody, herbaceous aroma, offers a mild, non-perturbing cleanse ideal for dry skin. Each 150g slab is compact enough to fit comfortably in the hand or in a diminutive travel case, and makes a perfect self-care partner with Aesop’s body hydrators and home scents.

Tickled pink

Just in time for Barbiecore to take over the world, French luxury house and fine crystal manufacturer Baccarat invites us to “think pink” with a new capsule collection of four luminous pink decorative products. Embodying a friendly, playful spirit that can take us back to our childhood, each exclusive creation is a work of art that brings joy and pleasure to life. Get swept up in the pink wave with the luminous Eye vase, whimsical Faunacrystopolis Bird by Jaime Hayon, charming Papillon Lucky Butterfly, and pristine and delicate Bloom (pictured).
The four objects are available now but only for a limited time.

Private eyes

Balenciaga couture has entered a new era, not only incorporating eyewear as part of the collection for the first time in its history but also offering a selection of pieces from its 52nd couture collection presentation, held last month at 10 Avenue George V in Paris, for sale at the Couture Store located at the same address and online at couture.balenciaga.com. The new eyewear comprises classic sunglasses recast in precious materials – Regata in solid, die-cast 18k gold; the HRH (his/her royal highness) in galvanic 18k gold or palladium-plated milled aluminum; and the Blackout line with extra dark-tinted mineral glass lenses in acetate.

Stepping up

A tribute to Hong Kong streetwear brand CLOT and Nike’s long-standing partnership as well as a celebration of CLOT’s 20th anniversary, the CLOT x Nike “WHAT THE? CLOT” Dunk is a true testament to the boundary-pushing creativity that has defined the collaboration between these two iconic brands. It features a range of distinct design elements drawn from past CLOT x Nike releases, including the 2006 Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death”, the 2012 Tennis Classic AC TZ Museum, the Terracotta Warriors-inspired Air Jordans from 2018 and 2021, and the series of Air Force 1s featuring CLOT’s iconic Silk Royale pattern.

Under observation

Designed in collaboration with Los Angeles-based illustrator and designer Jessica Herschko and actor Kirsten Dunst, the new Coach x Observed By Us collection is “a celebration of the spirit of imagination and wonder found in everyday things”. Comprising ready-to-wear, bags, footwear and accessories, the collection features the whimsical artwork of the duo, reimagined through the lens of the brand’s American design language, and a rich colour palette inspired by Coach’s heritage colours explored in saturated hues that convey an offbeat, youthful naiveté. Design cues were even taken from pieces found in Dunst’s closet.
