In celebration of Parmigiani Fleurier’s 25th anniversary, the horological giant adds to its Tonda collection with four Tonda PF models, solidifying their exquisite craftsmanship
Taking craft, complication and streamlined aesthetics to a new high, the Tonda PF differentiates itself from the previous Tonda collections. With a brand-new PF logo nestled in a vertical, oval, double-edged appliqué, Parmigiani introduces four models that are available in steel or 18 carat rose gold and a limited series made of platinum 950. Each piece stays true to the brand’s judicious sense of detail, pattern, shape and curve while unveiling novel variations of its iconic movements.
The Tonda PF Micro-Rotor features an unusual and exclusive combination of hours, minutes and dates. Inaugurating a new version of the brand’s fundamental movement, the new self-winding engine is integrated inside the movement’s structure and measures only 3mm thick – ensuring comfort and elegance. Combining its slim design with a minimal and consistent colourway, the Micro-Rotor is a sleek and versatile piece perfect for any occasion.
Premiering new 22 carat rose gold weights are the 42mm Tonda PF Chronograph and Annual Calendar. The former features a discrete blue dial and an integrated, high frequency, column wheel movement with small seconds and two registers. Using thinly sandblasted minute track and counter outlines gives the timepiece an almost flush surface.
The latter transcends the aesthetics of the previous annual calendar movements. The caliber PF339 of the Tonda PF Annual Calendar sees a retrograde date, day, month and 112-year moonphase. Showcasing a balance of design and layout, the date is pushed outwards onto the minute track using discretely outlined counters on the warm grey guilloché dial.
Last but absolutely not least, paying homage to the luxury watch maison’s 25th anniversary is the Tonda PF Split Seconds Chronograph. Giving prominence to the best craftsmanship, the timepiece adopts a rare, solid platinum dial and an upgraded caliber, PF361. This showstopper of the collection is limited to only 25 units.
