Staying power

Proving that style has no expiration date, last month Giorgio Armani marked 50 years since the launch of his eponymous brand. To celebrate, this month the designer will launch the Armani/Archivio project and present an exhibition and fashion show at Milan’s Pinacoteca di Brera museum. An interactive digital platform launching during the Venice Film Festival,
Armani/Archivio is designed to preserve the brand’s legacy while serving as a bridge between past and future. Armani will also close Milan Fashion Week on September 28 with a show in the historic Courtyard of Honour at Palazzo Brera, featuring the women’s SS26 collection.


Uncommon scents

One century after Adele Casagrande Fendi and her husband Edoardo Fendi opened a fur and leathergoods workshop in Rome, their famed Italian brand unveiled last year a complete collection of perfumes. With names like Casa Grande, Perché No, Sempre Mio and La Baguette, each scent weaves the narrative of the Fendi family saga. “The fragrance collection tells the story of Fendi from another point of view. It expresses the essence of the maison in a different way, by telling its story in a different language,” says Silvia Venturini Fendi. “Today, at Fendi, we can readily say that we have explored and used all the senses.”
