Michelin Guide 2025: The stars unveiled

Mar 14, 2025

95 restaurants reached for the stars in the 17th edition of the Michelin Guide Hong Kong and Macau, unveiled today at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau

Michelin inspectors placed 69 establishments in the one-star category for their “high-quality cooking, worth a stop.” New additions include Macau’s Aji, Mizumi, Sushi Kissho by Miyakawa and Zuicho. From Hong Kong, we have Ami, Plaisance by Mauro Colagreco and Tuber Umberto Bombana, all of which are promoted entries.

Chef Tam's Seasons was the only new debutant in the two-star category, having ascended the ladder from a one star.

17 years since first entering the guide in 2008, Amber has finally been promoted to three stars, bringing the total count of restaurants “worth a special journey” to nine.

Green stars were retained by the five existing holders with no new additions to the list this year.

Three hospitality talents also received special individual awards, including the Young Chef Award, which went to chef-de-cuisine Frankie Wong of Ankôma; the Sommelier Award, awarded to Carlito Chiu of Andō; and the Service Award, received by Winnie Zhang from Wing Lei.
