The legacy of Italian craftsmanship as a celebration of femininity, individuality and inner beauty
MAX&Co.’s &Co.llaboration series is a project onboarding global designers and artists for limited-edition capsules – inviting them to reinterpret the Italian label’s rich heritage through progressive, revolutionary lenses. Their latest chapter for Spring/Summer 2026 sees them join forces with Sami Miró.

Entitled Becoming Undone, the name itself is a poetic reference to the beauty within both garment and person, uncovered by peeling back the layers of both fabric and self. Miró. draws from the inner multi-facetedness within all women: the modern conception of the renaissance woman’s talent, creativity and complexity. Fusing together embodiments of originality, intelligence, confidence, bravado and nerve, this collection is a reimagination of the defining qualities of both MAX&Co. and her own line.

Miró’s collection is not just an illustration of an ideal but also in a way, an autobiography. A Los Angeles based designer and creative director with no formal training, she began her career taking the jump from corporate tech start-up job to fashion entrepreneur. Building her brand on independence and empowerment, her work emphasises ethical consumption and production. Pieces are woven from eco-friendly dead stock materials, challenging traditional aesthetic conventions through deconstruction and distressing. For her, fashion is about doing things her own way, resisting trends and destructive practices – and simply, doing what she loves. As one of the most outspoken voices in today’s landscape, Miró is the epitome of what she champions for – and the choice of her for &Co.llaboration’s ninth edition not only marks an acceptance, but a celebration by MAX&Co. of her unique perspective.

Her inspirations manifest themselves through a visual identity that mixes refined luxury and casual style. Masterfully framed, form-fitting denim bustiers and skirts contrast with precisely distressed raw hems and edges. The dissected silhouettes of shirts and jackets evoke a dignified composure while maintaining a spirit of courage and curiosity. The precise construction of pockets, buttons and zippers combined with patchwork stitching merge form and function, a display of both understated femininity and bold capability. Blending together the MAX&Co. heritage of sophisticated craft and Miró’s distinct design language, every element prompts closer inspection – a homage to both the unseen structures within each garment and a subtle assertion of the intricacies of ourselves.

Beyond specific details, Miró’s work invites you to actualise your individuality. The staples of the MAX&Co. wardrobe, ranging from blazers, jeans, cotton tees, sweaters and the signature trench coat are imbued with a multi-purposeful versatility, elevated by thoughtful alterations for a subdued stylistic freedom. Monochromatic palettes can be swapped out for colourful looks, while cuts and silhouettes mix and match with each other – clothes changing with personal expression.

“There’s a woman who can do it all inside each of us — a woman who is entrepreneurial, intelligent, poised, healthy, and social. That woman is you, that woman is me, and that woman is MAX&Co.” – Sami Miró
