Crafted by the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef Tin Lai, the three-tiered afternoon tea set will showcase a classic array of finger sandwiches, from Smoked Salmon to Ham and Cheese, where British gammon ham and cheddar are paired with honey mustard. The tea set’s sweet offerings lend a touch of Asian influence, from Pandan Matcha Coconut Roll Cake to Yuzu Citrus Tart, among many. The afternoon tea set also offers an iconic signature — The Langham Battenberg Cake. Traditionally, the Battenberg cake was created to commemorate the marriage between Princess Victoria and Prince Louise of Battenberg in 1884. The cake takes a rectangular form with a checkered pattern of yellow and pink, assembled with jam and covered with marzipan. The Langham’s version will feature vanilla and rose pound cakes snuggly layered with vanilla ganache and raspberry confit, and dipped in pink chocolate glaze, reinventing the British classic.

The Langham Afternoon Tea is complete with warm scones with clotted cream, rose petal jam and sour cherry jam, along with a choice of teas, coffee or infusions.
