“I’m a huge fan of the Thai brand Pattaraphan. Jewellery can be personal to taste, but I think the Sleeping Remnants necklace (HK$2,063) is super elegant, and can be androgynous, I actually want one for myself. All of their catalogue is very tasteful and not super loud. I think the founder went to Pratt as well, so I like that NYC connection having gone to Parsons.

Otherwise, I think the Carl Freidrik’s carry on X luggage (HK$6,900) in olive colour is so sexy. It’s quiet luxury with class, that isn’t the same 3 suitcases you see everyone else carting around.” – Jonathan Jay Lee @jonathanjaylee

Picks by #legend you may enjoy:

Splitting Colour’s Golden Prism jewellery

Splitting Colours Jewellery was founded in 2021 by husband-and-wife duo Vincee Yip and Stephen Poon, who left lucrative careers in marketing research and finance to seek some sparkle during the pandemic. Well, their designs using gem-grade bicolour tourmalines have captured the attention of many, including ours. We simple adore the Golden Prism designs with natural light blue Paraiba tourmalines. This Brazilian Paraiba/ Diamonds Clover Pendant (HK$5,100) highlights the neon blue core with the neutrality of 18-karat white gold and natural diamonds.

If you are getting the pendant for someone who wears earrings, you might want to consider pairing it with the clover earrings (HK$11,500) with a matching design.

Boghossians ‘Merveilles’ Halo Diamond and Sapphire Small Earrings

Boghossian’s ‘Merveilles’ Halo Diamond and Sapphire Small Earrings (HK$184,900) are simple and classy. The 18-karat white gold elliptical hoops are set with the revolutionary ‘Merveilles’ technique, alternately covered in dazzling 2.48 carat diamonds and shiny 2.90 carat sapphires. It also helps that it looks like something that Glinda would wear, making it very on point for the Wicked craze.

Monday Made’s Written in the Stars collection

Singaporean jewellery brand Mondays Made made its Hong Kong debut with their K11 Musea boutique opening this month. Their Written in the Stars collection showcases all 12 zodiac constellations on a reversible necklace or charm (HK$828). It pairs a gradient of icy-to-deep blue moissanites with a hand-painted enamel nightscape on the reverse, a dreamy, meaningful keepsake for the holidays. It’s a good way to give a personalised gift that’s artistic and dreamy.

Tudor’s Black Bay One 41 S&G

Jonathan Jay Lee’s jewellery recommendation has us looking at watches too. Green and red might be Christmas colours, but so is gold and silver. Tudor’s Black Bay One 41 S&G (HK$47,600) features a dial inspired by the brand’s dive watches produced during the 1950s. The essence of this contemporary model lies in its ultimate simplicity, allowing the regal colour combination to simply shine.

IWC Schaffhausen Big Pilot’s Watch Le Petit Prince special edition

Since 2006, IWC Schaffhausen has collaborated with the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry heirs. Continuing this tribute, the collectible Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Le Petit Prince (Ref. IW504901) (EU€118,000/ HK$1m) is limited to 100 pieces, marking IWC’s first Little Prince watch in striking blue ceramic. The watch combines a perpetual calendar and a flying minute tourbillon, which consists of 82 parts and weighs only 0.635 grams. Its 18-carat 5N gold case back ring contrasts with the blue ceramic, and the perpetual moon phase depicts the Little Prince on his asteroid.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Control Classic

If you prefer something less blingy, but still makes good arm candy, Jaeger-LeCoultre presents the Master Control Classic (HK$66,000). It is inspired by a 1995 Master Control reference, in a limited edition of 500 pieces. But it is now set in a 36mm steel case – just two millimetres larger than its historic predecessor. It’s a great piece of horology history with a classic look, but a contemporary feel.
