“June is an exciting month for us because Barkada is celebrating Philippines Independence Day from the 12th to 20th with Barrio Fiesta, which will include live music, karaoke brunch and a bar takeover. Talking about bars, Bar Leone will be hosting a favourite of mine from Rome, Freni e Frizioni, on the 27th. And, of course, I’ll be spending time with my dog Crosby at Bogu in Tai Hang or The Mills for dog-friendly dim sum.”

“Rootdown has been a go-to of mine lately. It’s a neighbourhood café in Sai Ying Pun and the sandwiches are amazing – my favourite is the Mr Submarine! If you’re looking for a self-love boost, I recommend 10xLongevity, a wellness studio with a residency at Pacific Place Apartments. I’ve been going regularly for their hyperbaric oxygen therapy and sauna with cold plunge, and am currently trying out their micro needling facials. For a bit of culture, definitely check out the Noir & Blanc photography exhibit at M+ before it ends July 1.”

“No place is better than my home here on a Sai Kung mountain, but I enjoy visiting the Zero Carbon Building in Kowloon Bay for energy with its greenery and light. Venture to Sham Shui Po for the essence of Hong Kong. It’s a place of great vibes and constantly full of surprises and ideas. I DIY a lot, so I go there frequently for garment and jewellery materials, as well as to check out all the hardware and camera stores for shooting equipment.”
