Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces a new dial colour for the Master Ultra Thin Moon and the Master Ultra Thin Date

A new, limited edition hue now liven up two Master Ultra Thin references. A soft and warm copper tone marks a new dial colour that shifts between a powdery shade to a more saturated tone on the Master Ultra Thin Moon and Master Ultra Thin Date.
The dials makes a striking contrast against the cool sheen of the polished stainless-steel 39mm cases. The grained surface also gives the dials extra texture and dimension. Dauphine hands, with one facet satin-brushed and the other polished, also helps to create an interesting play of light from different angles.

The ultra-thin timepieces are a mainstay of the maison, who have created them from the early 1900s onwards. In fact, the Master Ultra Thin collection was conceived as the quintessential dress watch for the 21st century. Both watches come with
alligator straps in a new shade of brown, along with its folding buckle in stainless steel, that complement the new dial colour.

Both watches feature in-house movements designed and made at Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Manufacture in Le Sentier. The Calibre 899 animates the Master Ultra Thin Date, while the Calibre 925 powers the Master Ultra Thin Moon. The latest versions of the two self-winding movements provide a power reserve of 70 hours.
The calibers can be seen in full view through the transparent sapphire case-back. They feature fine decorative finishes including Côtes de Genève, bevelled bridges and blue screws. An open-worked 18- carat pink gold winding rotor adds to the aesthetic.

Each of the new references retains its individual character by highlighting its complication with a contrasting element on the dial display. The Master Ultra Thin Date is distinguished by a white date disc within a rectangular window framed by the copper colour of the dial. The Master Ultra Thin Moon features a combined moon phase and date display: a silver moon against a deep blue starry background, with the dates printed in black around the moon phase aperture on the copper dial.
Purchasing a new Jaeger-LeCoultre is always a breeze. Both watches undergo the 1,000 Hour Control, a more stringent testing protocol than official chronometry tests as it certifies both the movement and the fully cased-up watch. So, you know you are getting quality with the elegant new aesthetic.
