Isabel Marant launches vintage second-hand online shopping platform

Jul 02, 2021

Everything old is new again. Isabel Marant is launching a second-hand shopping platform made up of pre-loved items that carry the French luxury label’s tag from seasons past.

Dubbed ‘Isabel Marant Vintage’, the used clothing platform invites customers to donate their used Isabel Marant, in exchange for vouchers. Once the items have been verified and restored, the Paris brand will then put them up for resale, with proceeds from the vintage sales going to support women’s education and artisan craftsmanship in indigenous communities, as a part of The Isabel Marant Endowment Fund.

Dresses, jackets, handbags and shoes from Isabel Marant, Isabel Marant Étolie and Isabel Marant Men’s will be included on the vintage site, according to what’s being donated, of course.

The initiative is France-based for the minute, with the expectation that more Isabel Marant stores globally will adopt the donation drive.

“Ever since the creation of the brand in the 1990’s, Isabel Marant has strived to create a timeless wardrobe of clothes that are made to last,” read a statement from the brand online.

“Today, the designer pushes her commitment to responsible fashion even further with the launch of Isabel Marant Vintage, a new digital resale platform initially created for the French market and dedicated to pieces from past collections. This initiative, led by the notions of sustainability and transmission, is a concrete step towards a more circular fashion industry.”

The first drop of Isabel Marant Vintage is online now at isabelmarant-vintage.com, with some 136 fashion and accessories up for grabs.
