Stephanie Au Hoi-shun is a four-time Olympian from Hong Kong who balances a successful career in sports and fashion with grace and humour. She uses social media to advocate for issues such as #MeToo and mental health in Hong Kong’s sports community. Through her content, she emphasises how sports and modelling are not always about perfection. Her efforts have contributed to Hong Kong’s largest cohort of athletes sent to the Tokyo Olympics, most of whom were women. The athletes brought back more medals than all the other Olympic appearances combined. She also created Mind the Waves with her fellow swimmers to improve mental health and well-being among Hong Kong’s youth via YouTube videos, online live sessions and events. Besides her talent as an athlete, she also graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in Environmental Economics and Policy and was the recipient of the 24th Hong Kong Outstanding Students Awards.
