Karen Tam, a prominent athlete from Hong Kong, is making waves in the swimming world. Now 26 years old, Tam began her competitive training at the age of 12 and has since broken six records in Hong Kong, currently holding four. Standing tall at 178 cm, the Olympic swimmer has excelled in various competitions, including the Asian Games, where she won one silver and four bronze medals in relay events. Her impressive performance at the World Aquatics Championships, where she finished 10th alongside teammates Camille Cheng, Nam-wai Ho, and Siobhan Haughey, earned her a spot at the Tokyo Olympics. In 2024, she will again represent Team Hong Kong at the Paris Olympics. In addition to her athletic achievements, Tam holds a degree in kinesiology from the University of British Columbia.
